One of the most beautiful melodies- Op. 67. no. 2 from Songs Without Words (Lieder ohne Worte), a series of short lyrical piano songs by the Romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn, written between 1829 and 1845. The eight volumes of Songs Without Words, each consisting of six songs (Lieder), were written at various points throughout Mendelssohn s life, and were published separately.  This version is transcribed for Bb Clarinet and Piano. The Op. 67 no. 2 Allegro leggiero (F# minor) is from Book no. 6 (1843-45).
